At Fairfax Academy, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally-appropriate activities and materials. Students will nurture critical thinking and develop a sense of community and social responsibility – through a teaching approach that is fundamentally hands-on and child-centered. Reggio-inspired, play based curriculum will incorporate music, dance, art, science, reading, writing, math, gardening and lots of outdoor exploration.

In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and experiences. Our campus includes an outdoor lunch/snack area, outdoor covered class space, open yard space, climbing structure with slide, swings, rock wall, and playhouse, as well as a brand new set of monkey bars.

Class size is limited to 6 students.

Staff and students will wear masks inside the classroom. Classroom has 5 windows for cross ventilation, as well as central air/heat, if needed. Campus has 3 hand washing stations.

School is compliant with all health and safety protocols. Keeping students and staff safe is a priority at Fairfax Academy. Staff is CPR certified and campus has passed fire inspection.
